The Zentangle method is a fun and easy to learn method of creating intricate abstract images using repetitive patterns. If you can print your own name you have all the skills required for this fascinating art form! Like yoga for your soul, it can help increase focus and relaxation and decrease stress. Materials fee is not included in the course fee you pay today. Please bring $12 - to be paid to your instructor at class for your drawing kit, which includes a black .01 Micron pen, Zentangle pencil, tortillion, 5 white Zentangle tiles in a drawstring bag. General Policies regarding programs offered by Continuing Education at RETSD
Please read the following regarding fees, refunds, policies, etc.
Note: please ensure that the telephone number you provide on your registration form will allow us to reach you during the day. Registration is not complete and your space is not confirmed until your fees are paid in full.
Once courses can be viewed online, students may register by the following methods except for the fall session. Registration in person and by phone for the FALL begins the last week of August.

If you are paying by cheque, make it payable to: "River East Transcona School Division" and send it to the address indicated on the registration form.
Registrations are accepted until the course is full. Fill out the registration form, complete it, and mail it, plus a cheque or credit card information for the full payment due for your course.

Fax your registration to our 24-hour fax service. Include your Visa or Mastercard number or follow up with payment by mail or in person. Please confirm that we have received your fax registration by phoning 667-6193.
Confirmation is sent only for online registrations. Confirmations WILL NOT be phoned or mailed; please attend the first class as advertised. If registering by fax, please confirm by phone. We will contact you ONLY if your course is cancelled or if there have been changes to the advertised schedule. Registration is not complete until fees are paid in full. Official receipts will be handed out at your first class.
Right to cancel/postpone classes
River East Transcona Continuing Education reserves the right to cancel or postpone courses or specific class sessions due to unavailability of instructors, prior claim to facilities by a school, insufficient enrolment, inclement weather, statutory holidays or emergencies. For unscheduled cancellations/postponements, reasonable effort will be made, depending on the length of notice the Continuing Education Office receives, to notify participants prior to the session(s) affected. Normally, postponed classes will be "made-up" at the end of the course. Occasionally, due to unforseen circumstances, instructor may be different than instructor listed in brochure.
REFUNDS / VOLUNTARY WITHDRAWALS
Full refunds will be issued for courses cancelled due to insufficient enrolment. You may choose to use the refund toward the fee for another course.
If you choose to withdraw from a course, a $10 administration charge will be deducted from your refund. Refunds are not granted for a ONE session class or AFTER a course begins. Note: Non-attendance does not constitute notice of withdrawal.

NOTE for classes at the the following schools:
Murdoch MacKay Collegiate: Please park and enter at the East entrance. Classes are held in South East wing of school.
Miles Macdonell Collegiate: Use the small staff door in the NW corner of the staff parking lot off Chelsea Avenue.
Kildonan East Collegiate: Use the door at the front of the school. Visitor parking is available in the lot facing Concordia Ave.
NOTE: For all classes held in GYMS: Please bring a change of footwear and wear workout shoes with non-marking soles.
Please ensure that the class participants and instructor are not interrupted by the use of cell phones or other mobile devices.
Parents and caregivers observing their children during classes, who bring other children with them, are asked to ensure that the students, class activities, instructor, school equipment and staff are respected.
What If my employer is paying for my course?
We require authorization on company letterhead and we will invoice your employer.
Please retain your course receipts. Duplicates will be provided on request.
